For you turbo loversJOKERSWILD 07-24-2005, 08:22 PM In the Technical corner of AF's Automotive Articals Magazine. There is an artical on a eclips. Where they install Heat wrap on all the plumbing of its turbo. The writter states when opening the hood he did feel a dramatic lower temp. Has you all know colder the air the more Hp. Due to a prob with the car he couldnt finnish the test but I think its worth lookin into. Seems like a cheap way to gain a lil more Go. He will be finnishing the test soon so have a look HAVE A GOOD 1 stephenp 07-24-2005, 08:59 PM i agree with the wrap i wrapped mine and after warm up there is a significant lowering of under hood temp Broke_as_**** 07-25-2005, 04:34 AM Well in the context of the stock intake systems on Z31s and Z32s that draw air from outside the engine bay (ala cold air intake) it's not much of a horsepower gain. But it does reduce under hood temps as a measure of reliablity, no more cracked and burned rubber connector covers. However, the heat just doesn't dissappear, so wrapping means your exhaust system is going to be subjected to more extreme temperatures. musicsurfman 07-25-2005, 11:59 AM Wrap = Bad On Street Cars.... It Increases The Chance Of Warping The Exhaust Manifold. But There Are Definate Benefits If You Keep It Under Your Watchful Eye. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
