Does anyone have or know if anyhwere on the net I can find sample colours of 300ZX cars?

# 1991 - Aztec Red, ...
# 1992 - Super White, Cherry Red Pearl, Ultra Red, Onyx, Glacier White Pearl, Oxford Gray, Saphire Blue, Silver Ice Metallic
# 1993 - Super White, Cherry Red Pearl, Ultra Red, Cocoa Bronze, Onyx, Glacier White Pearl, Platinum, Oxford Gray, Saphire Blue
# 1994 - Super White, Cherry Red Pearl, Ultra Red, Black Emerald, Super Black, Glacer White Pearl, Platinum, Sapphire Blue
# 1995 -
# 1996 - Artic White Pearl, Platinum Metallic, Ultra Red, Cobalt Green Pearl, Deep Purple Metallic, Sapphire Blue, Super Black

Were the colours the car was sold in, as I need to decide what colour I'm going to paint my 300ZX. The build guide asked for TS-11 Maroon. But searching the net, and there was no 300ZX in this colour from new..!!

Perhaps I'm wrong, and there was. But if I can see the samples, perhaps I can get a can mixed up or something from an auto supplier.

Thanks

Afer searching for a good amount of time, I've managed to fine "One" webpage that has some colour samples.

http://www.paintscratch.com/

I can't give a direct link for the colours, as it won't let me.

I've got a screenshot of the colours I got.

Problem is, I don't think the codes I've got are UK based. I can't find them, and the reds all look the same. The cherry red might be good, as that has a pearl in it. The reddish brown pearl is the one the build guide asks for, and it says Tamiya TS-11.. WFT..!! Nothing like maroon..!!

Anyone know the UK codes for 300ZX colours, as I think it might be a choice between -

Cherry Red Pearl Clearcoat
Charcoal Pearl Metallic Clearcoat
Silver Metallic Clearcoat
Midnight Blue Pearl Clearcoat

With cherry red and charcoal being the firm favs at the moment, with buff leather seats..!!

Any help would be welcome. Wonder if I stroll of down to Halfords and give them the colour they might be able to find a match???

Mike, Have a look here : http://www.ttaz.org/tech/colors/
should sort you out :)
Halfords can mix you 100ml of paint up with the Code number.

Why don't you just pick a colour you like and paint it that?

I'm going to go with Cherry Red Pearl. I'll get Halfords to mix a can up. I was trying to get away from Reds, as I've got a pile of ferrari kits to build that will be nearly all red, but the 300ZX looks so damn hot in red, even more so with the pearl red.

I also think White and Graphite look superb, but white is hard to get the black trim and panel lines right, and graphite is too black.. I wanted to show a little more black detail. White too much, graphite too dark.. Has to be red then.

Got the colour code now, so should be easy enough. Can I use TS-13 clear on automotive paints?
