'85 tercel brake problemstoyota lover 07-24-2005, 11:06 AM Im new here so be patient with me please,as I dont have any mechanical abilities. Thanks I have a 1985 tercel wagon, I have just had the brakes and wheel cylinders replaced. I was driving and I heard a "clunk" and then lost my brakes completely including the E brake. Can anyone help? tubjub 07-25-2005, 02:20 AM is there any brake fluid remaining in the resevoir located near the brake booster ? toyota lover 07-25-2005, 03:15 PM Thats the strange part, it is full. tubjub 07-27-2005, 02:59 AM did a shop do your brakes... or.... what ? if you're capable... rip the rear drums off, its not easy but if you know cars you'll know how... take the cotter pin out... castle lock off, axle nut *should* be finger tight... take it off... tap on drum, remove bearing and pop the drum off... if u know what ur doing make sure everything's where its posed to be... if not take it to the guy that fucked it up in the first place. does the brake petal hit the floor or what ?? toyota lover 07-28-2005, 07:38 PM :lol2: I am sure that I dont know what I am doing, until you told me how to do it I thought I could do it.
