17" On a 99 Cliomattizzle05 07-23-2005, 09:14 AM Hi, I have a 1999 Clio and i'm looking to buy some alloys for it. I've seen a nice set on ebay which ends in a couple of hours so would be grateful for quick replies! Would 17" be too big for the wheel arches or would they fit nicely? Also do i need lowering springs, if so which size? Thanks guys. Lady Laminator 08-12-2005, 03:44 PM Just incase you are in the uk www.mutanyautomotive.com (http://www.mutanyautomotive.com/) can fit any size wheels to anything ....they have put 19" on a clio However here is one they did with 17" alloys http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b384/Mutanyswife/Cliophoto.jpg Lady Laminator 08-12-2005, 04:03 PM It does need a bit of work on the arches and if you are going to get it lowered as well do be sure for safteys sake it is all done correctly and checked ....as when you hit a bump moving your arches can take slices out of your tyres....obviously choose low profile tyres . As for lowering springs if its the model with the tortion bar at the rear then you only need a set for the front and get the bar lowered...if its a newer model then it needs an all round set of springs... and yessss i know its not a fast reply but the info is now here for other members to see!!! cornflakes5210 08-16-2005, 04:49 AM if anyones looking for mods for a clio go to this site should help with everything www.k-tecracing.com vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
