Car problemscamaro3.4 07-22-2005, 09:58 AM I have a 94 v6 camaro and for awhile now the car will sputter and the idle will dramatically increase while driving and sitting still. Then when coming to a stop the car will almost die. The car died on me yesterday turning on my street and then when i started it back up it idled above 2K. I have changed the idl speed control and have often put dry gas and injector cleaner in the car but the problem still comes back. The cars gas gauge has not been accurate for awhile so i know that it needs a sending unit but could this be causing the idling problem too. Any help is greatly appreciated 92zcamaroperson 07-22-2005, 10:48 AM fuel filter. camaro3.4 07-22-2005, 07:08 PM Thanx i went ahead and changed the fuel filter(was clogged pretty bad) but the prob continued. Then noticed that the wires of the MAF were melted together so fixed that and now the car runs perfect. Savage Messiah 07-22-2005, 07:12 PM How did you melt them?!?! a little laughing gas backfire??? They didnt have any wire loom around them and i guess it just got too hot being that close to the motor. blindeyed 07-22-2005, 08:46 PM Thanx i went ahead and changed the fuel filter(was clogged pretty bad) but the prob continued. Are you talking about the air temperature sensor that's next to the fresh air pipe in the intake elbow? If so, then I can see how that caused your problem. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
