Grand Prix GT vs Thunderbird LX V8CamaroSSBoy346 07-21-2005, 11:57 PM Friday night, in a "hick town." Anyways, we went to the local gas station, where everyone hangs out. We met a couple of people we knew.. as soon as we got there, a cop rolled up, so we took the back way to the supermarket parking lot, where we did some donuts.. after about 30mins, we head back down to the gas station, hoping the cop is gone..... On the way back, we hit a red light, me and one our friends friend is lined up with us, in his newer (pre 04 i think) Grand Prix GT 4-door. (NOT GTP). Light turns green, and we both gun it... he chirps his tires, while mine accelerates as slow as crap... by the next redlight, or at around 60-70mph, he hadover 2 car lengths on me... After that, we head to the autozone parking lot, where I did some drifts in my 4000lb Thunderbird, and whipped some crazy donuts... Now, I've beaten a Comp G GTP.. so I dunno what happened here...lol good times. Cant wait to get the SC on the road.. King Of Crunk 07-23-2005, 12:11 AM weird i would've picked you to beat him...oh well weird stuff happens on the streets....good race and donuts rule!! jeffs_GTP_sleeper 07-23-2005, 07:33 PM So that is a genII M90 on those cars right? drdisque 07-23-2005, 09:39 PM the GT just has a regular Series 2 3800 rated at 205 hp. jeffs_GTP_sleeper 07-24-2005, 02:23 AM the GT just has a regular Series 2 3800 rated at 205 hp. Yeah and some are rated at 200hp. Also grandprix from 97+ had a genII root blower, they used the genIII(97-03) and the genV(04-08). The ford supercoupe may have used the Eaton GenII. That is what I am asking. BTW I know a little about the 3800. Did you not see this? 1993 Ford Thunderbird Super Coupe: 5-speed. 3.8 Liter V6, Eaton M90 Roots Type Supercharger.. CamaroSSBoy346 07-24-2005, 09:58 AM if you're thinking I raced him in my Supercharged Thunderbird, I wasnt, I still have to drive around the LX, which has the 4.6L V8, and is rated at 205hp stock. The SC need some work before its driveable.. And, it wasnt a GTP Grand Prix, so it had the regular 3800 II N/A PS, I'm not sure what gen. blower the SC has.. jeffs_GTP_sleeper 07-24-2005, 08:15 PM if you're thinking I raced him in my Supercharged Thunderbird, I wasnt, I still have to drive around the LX, which has the 4.6L V8, and is rated at 205hp stock. Can you post any pics of it? mason_RsX 07-24-2005, 09:29 PM Yeah and some are rated at 200hp. Also grandprix from 97+ had a genII root blower, they used the genIII(97-03) and the genV(04-08). You dont know squat about 3800 motors, who are you kidding?! :lol2: just playin Camarossboy I though you would have had him, race another Grand prix and see how it goes...and what were you doin in a hick town?? and I forget is your LX manual?? if so how are those ford V8 clutch's? CamaroSSBoy346 07-25-2005, 12:34 AM Nope. The LX's only came with an automatic. The worse Automatc, EVER. A 4R70W (pre 94's got the AODE)... Trust me, M-Ville is a hick town.
