2004 XTERRA 2WD V6 - 12,000 miles


We've bought this thing new.
The wife (main driver) got into a minor fender bender, but the left axle shaft had to be replaced (by the Nissan dealer).

After 4 weeks we get it back.
The rear brakes are dragging BIG time.
I jacked up the rear end and could barely turn the wheels by hand.

We take it back and Nissan says it's normal.

Anybody else think it's normal? Could explain the lousy MPG :~

When adjusting the rear brakes they are supposed to have a slight bit of drag and not "freespin", however so much you can't turn the tire is wrong.
