Auto 2 Manual~Z~ 07-21-2005, 12:45 PM i found a nice 93 Z32 TT with 94k miles on it for $6000 in the paper here and i wen to talk to the owner and everything seems ok but its a auto and i dont want a Z thats auto so i was wondering how had is it to change a auto to a manual i know K3 did it to his i was wondering if you could post up all the essentials i need and a rough estimate on how much money it would take? k3smostwanted 07-21-2005, 01:11 PM i found a nice 93 Z32 TT with 94k miles on it for $6000 in the paper here and i wen to talk to the owner and everything seems ok but its a auto and i dont want a Z thats auto so i was wondering how had is it to change a auto to a manual i know K3 did it to his i was wondering if you could post up all the essentials i need and a rough estimate on how much money it would take? hm...are you sure there is nothing wrong with it??? an N/A would be hard to find with that kind of mileage in good condition for that price. just make sure you fully inspect it...because that is one hell of a deal beings they are usually going for double that. but thats not your questions so i will carry on... the easiest way is to find a wrecked Z32TT manual and buy all the parts from that person from 1 car. make sure you have that person include al of the bolts because you will end up soending another $200 just on bolts that have to be ordered through nissan. i would recommend getting a new clutch and atleast gettign the flywheel resurfaced or else you will probably have to do it all again. anyways, here is a list of parts... -TT manual transmission -manual shifter assembly w/ retaining bracket -boot and knob -clutch w/ pressure plate assembly -flywheel -pilot bushing -throw-out bearing & throw-out fork -clutch pedal assembly w/ depressed switch -brake pedal assumbly -clutch fluid line -custom driveshaft or a similar half shaft -master cylinder -metal gusset (sits between transmission and engine) i know Z1motorsports can sell you everything you need for $1800 or so from them. but if it all possible, i would find a private seller as they are much cheaper but often dont include EVERY piece you need. for example, i bought everything i needed from a guy in New York who wrecked his TT. i paid $850 shipped for everything but i forked out another $250 or so on parts that i still needed. like the gusset that sits between the engine and transmission, the metal retainer for the shifter assembly, all kinds of specialized Nissan bolts that Nissan happens to charge $5 a pop on in some cases (but i happen to have a buddy that works in the parts department).
