I have a 90 lumina with a 3.1L it is a euro sport and black(not like it matters). The car runs great, still plenty of power even at 180,000. The problem i have is when the car has been running for over a hour, and is plenty warm, i may shut off the car and come back in about 20 min. when i then try to start the car. it will idle bad. it is kinda like it is missing on one piston. if i push the foot feed (I like to call it that because it makes me sound like i am 65) it will miss and sputter, i then put it in drive and take off.....after i drive for about 100 feet the car will run fine again....what is the problem, and ideas?.....
I am sorry for the bad writing, i am in a hurry and very tired....
thanks

Probably the fuel pump is dying. When the engine is hot, gas in the intake will vaporize and when you restart it, the fuel pump does not deliver enough pressure to get fuel into the pistons. this happened to me, the fuel pump completely died about two months later. have the fuel pump pressure checked.
