I am thinking about buying a 1200.1 amp and I want to hook it up to 2 15s. Will the amp push 1200 to each amp or 600?

the amp will push 600 to each SUB lol

but in all seriousness, if its 2 channel, than you should be able to bridge it and get the 1200 to both subs.

it would end up being about the same... right?

ummmm ....... the .1 means a 1 channel. It just has 2 parralelled outputs for wiring convenience

so then if he hooked up both then the power would be split? I wasnt sure if it was a single or dual channel, thats why im asking.

it's a single channel amp, if he connects 2 speakers - each speaker will receive 1/2 of thetotal power (assuming both speakers are the same impedance)

Thanks for clearin that up.

x2 about what paul said. Same subs should get 600 to each sub.

Could you tell me if this is a good setup and how much would be on each sub?

audiobahn is notthwat good ... except maybe for volume. That amp/speaker combo is DUMB once you read the specs. It's a 4 ch amp, it's rated at 500 Watts/ch AT 4OHMS ONLY ..... the subs are dual 4 ohm, if you wire the coils in parallel you will be below the impedance when the amp is bridged - if you wire them in series, the amp will only put out 300 W to each sub.

but if you have 2 d4 subs you can wire one coil to each chanel ;)
