Hello folks, I've got some front end humming that is driving me crazy. I have already checked all of the other posts to no avail. A few weeks ago I had the front tires replaced on my '99 (59K mi), leaving the garage I noticed a loud humming noise coming from the front end. It sounds similar to the wheel bearing noise, but I have replaced them within the last 8k, and the noise is the same whether turning or going straight. I put the new tires on back to see if it was them, but no luck of course. I have lubed the front end (not real recently though). It starts humming around 5 mph and gets downright annoying at high speeds. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Could it be that you have a different tread pattern that just hums? Check tire inflation too, if mine are overfilled they will hum. I hummed all the way back from Walmart when they filled the tires to the sidewall pressure and not the pressure on the door sticker. Airing them out took the hum away.

Thanks for the idea, but I am sort of doubting that this is the problem since it still sounds like the front end even with the tires on the back. I was talking with someone about swapping out the tires with a "seasoned " pair to see if that's it. I won't get to give it a try till next weekend (30th), but I'll keep you informed when I do. Thanks Again

I would take it to a shop bro, something is really wrong.
