I don't know about you guys, but i'm still having a hard time dealing with the loss of Dale. As a hero of mine from childhood, I can't fathom this superman of mine to die. Never the less in a race car. He was truly a great race car driver!

He sure was, and it sure seems that someting is left out of nascar without Dale. He made racing exciting :)

:frown: sadly the first race i saw was dales last. however, after the five hundred ended i was addicted to nascar and could hardly wait to see dale race at rockingham. sadly :frown: a few hours later i heard that dale had died on the last lap.

it hasnt been the same. since he died new young guns have come in, and while they are great drivers, earnhardt just had the flare to him and really defined the sport. Rusty, jarrett, martin and some other older drivers are not running well or have not been since his death and thats really allowing the sports young drivers to shine and maybe take away from the earnhardt days of nascar.
