I mentioned before that the Alpine head unit and Kenwood amp that were in the car when I bought it sounded like shit, so yesterday I decided to swap it out for my Pioneer. I assumed that the wiring was all neat and stuff, but ended up being horified.

So I decide to take the passenger seat out (the amp was under it) and take the whole console out (the amp wires were tucked in underneath the center console), at least I didn't break any of the plastic pieces, but the wiring was such a mess that I ended up with very little wire to work with when I'm eventually ganna have the patience to wire up my Pioneer. Fucking people doing shit half assed cost me my whole night. But at least it's cleaner now.

So I go to put it all back together (I was going out in like 30 minutes and my car was still in piece and only one seat, so I get everything back together, but when I go to screw in the seat, the bolts don't wanna go in!! I had to switch them around and I keep getting 2 of the 3 in, but never all 3!! (The 4th one, which is a nut, fit fine.)

So here's the questions, first, anybody has any idea how to get the seat bolts to go in, the one that doesn't wanna go in is the front one near the door, it screws in like half a turn, then get's stuck and then if you force it, it pops out.

And secondly, I heard somewhere about 240s having a stock amp that you need to bypass or else your stereo will sound like shit, anybody know anything about this? Liek where it is, hopefully pics or a wirign diagram, I'm ganna spend a while looking through old threads, but if someone could help me soon, that woul dbe great, so yeah, well sorry for the logn ass post.

Just hand tighten the seat bolts untill you have them all started then torque them down. Try blowing in the hole where the bolt goes and clean off the bolt threads, maybe you have some debris.

No ideas on the stock 240 amp thing..Sorry
