I know its not going to give me great milage but its not horrible either right? Also any mods that might help gas milage? Thanks leowolf 07-20-2005, 09:49 AM naw, not if you think 10 to 12 mpg is good and if you put a trailer on it expect about 7 r 8. my diesel gets about 15 in the city and 20 on the highway. my 4000lb boat drags it down to 14 on the high way. lots o luck! Cleve 03-11-2006, 06:35 AM Hi, Ford does not post any mileage pramaters for this vehicle because they don't have to, It exceeds 8000 lbs and is actually a F350 truck, Don't expect much from it......Clay.. dougger222 03-11-2006, 12:38 PM The beast is more F250 than F350. The frame is the same as a exteneded cab short bed F250. The rear end is that of a F250 and the front end is a Dana 50 which is the same as the F250 until 2002 when it got the Dana 60, the Excursion never got the bigger front axle though. Expect your fuel mileage to be dictated on your driving habits. You will rarely see 16 mpg empty but could see 15 mpg if your driving easy. My wifes Excursion gets 19 mpg empty and 15 mpg city driving. ronrob2 03-11-2006, 12:44 PM SEE MY SIGNATURE AT BOTTOM ... You don't need to wonder :screwy: no more.. I just thought I would throw this in Thanks! ronrob2 dougger222 03-14-2006, 11:57 AM SEE MY SIGNATURE AT BOTTOM ... You don't need to wonder :screwy: no more.. I just thought I would throw this in Thanks! ronrob2 20 years ago Escort diesels and Citation diesels were getting 55 mpg. 70 mpg today is no feat really. Lot's of people are snatching up the old Escorts and Citations for peanuts to do the veggie oil conversion. tarheel4eva 03-19-2006, 07:15 AM we barely use our vehicle and it seems to drinks the gas like there is no tomorrow. I have nicknamed my X: "Thirsty" ronrob2 03-19-2006, 10:55 PM The Sad thing though....is ....the Price Of Gas Keeps going up....Thats why I placed my order , when I became part of the Oregon Sales team, I Can't wait to get my Roadster..living so close to the Factory , here in Oregon, Even though its a commuter Vehicle , I will Drive it as my family car..AND I WILL SMILE ALOT WITH MY 70MPG I WILL GET...(About 4 more Mos.) AGAIN .....ITS NOT A CAR....ITS A MOTORCYCLE ...Classification ;under 1500 lbs ya know!!! ronrob2 dougger222 03-26-2006, 01:08 PM I read the link to the roadster. I need a vehicle that can haul up to 8 people in comfort and safety and haul pretty must whatever I hook to it. I also need a vehicle that can tow as much if not more than the Excursion and plow my driveway. Hence the need for a diesel Excursion and F250. I've got the cars for fuel mileage. Even though there Shelby's and there fast they still get 30 mpg. ronrob2 05-17-2006, 02:40 PM GOT THIS FROM MY BOSS.... This event will take place in Eugene, Oregon at a location that will allow as many people in attendance to test drive the Roadster as possible. We will have at least two finished Roadsters available for test drives. By "finished" we mean that they will be the equivalent to a production Roadster coming off the assembly line. To the extent that we are not able to have absolutely every detail complete we will list what may not be complete. Other than any list the Roadster will be the same as a customer will have when he picks up his vehicle ready to take home. We will have a sign in sheet for drives and they will be on a done on a sign in basis. Priority will be given first to those holding Reservation Certificates and thereafter to all interested parties. As previously indicated, we are inviting the media as well as the key executives in the state government (Oregon Governor Kulongoski just might be there if all goes well for us). We will let you know the details of any special appearances and any scheduled events we may hold at the meeting as soon as our plans are final. Please plan to come and attend this event. We look forward to seeing you all there. ADDITIONAL CLOSED MEETING: On Friday July 14 we will hold an invitiation only event for those who are interested in Dealerships or in investing in the Eco-Fueler Corporation capital stock. Please forward your request to attend this private meeting and your specific interests and we will issue an invitation to you. Admission will only be upon showing of the invitation. During this time those invited will have the opportunity to test drive the Roadster but will also have time with John and Jerry to discuss the terms and conditions of their primary interests. All of our Sales Representatives and Dealers are invited to attend both of these sessions in order to be able to help with the program, and to be able to have specific discussions with their own clients. If you live near a Dealer and cannot attend the open house, you will still be able to see and drive the complete Roadster through your local Dealer. If there is no local Dealer we will also have several demonstration teams traveling to provide information and demonstration rides. When we get to that scheduling the visits to various cities we will announce the schedule to enable you to attend one of these local events. I really don't know why this is or why Ford lets it continue. Chevy and Dodge get a lot better mileage for a similiar rearend ratio and engine. What gives? Jason BMW320i 08-08-2006, 04:24 AM You are correct about Ford being worse on gas. Though if you research it is like by 1 mpg. I have a Navigator. It gets 12-17 the equivelent Chevy 1998 suburban gets 14-18 but it is not 4x4 and the 1998 Tahoe gets 13-16 as a 4x4and the 99 escalade gets 12-16. That is worse than my Navi. The only one better is the 2wd chevy. But in my opinion at this level 1-2 mpg don't mean crap. The 1999 Jeep Wrangler only gets 15-18 as a 6 cyl auto. Tiny 4wd only gets 2 more than My Navi that can pull 8K. The Wrangler is rated at under 2K. I get these numbers from www.fueleconomy.gov (http://www.fueleconomy.gov) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
