So I managed another of my 14 hour workdays and and my roommates decided they wanted to go for a cruise. I told them I've got some stuff to take care of and I'd talk to them later. So, I got bored and didn't get anything done except for a shower as somebody in the apartment decided it was about time for them to do their 15 loads of laundry simultaneously in our cramped laundromat...

I went and had some coffee and read up on some turbocharging goodies in Super Street (It's entertaining...What??). I get a call from my roommates (2001 Monte Carlo 3.4V6) and they told me to get my happy ass to 82nd. They're chasing a few chicks, one in a 80's Mercedes 300TD and the other two are riding with some pud in a Mustang. I am having problems spotting them because of the crap ton of traffic, so I stop in a lot halfway through the cruising spot, watching a crap ton of cops moving towards the United and Tensiltown Parking lots to run off all the High School kids.

Ricers, Rockets, Muscleheads and the Fuzz abound in masses tonite...

There's a redlight with a clump of cars and I call up my roommate (sitting Shotgun in the Monte), and as I go to ask him where he is I hear a squeal of tires outside and it is echo'd in the reciever of my mobile.

Me: "You're at that intersection where the guy is trying to burn out right?"
Roomie: "Yeah, looks like this guy is trying to blow his engine (Pud in mustang).
Me: "Okay I'll be behind you after you guys get past." *click*

I start up the car and wait for the pack to get by, watching the Mustang fly by, tailed by the Monte and then the Mercedes. It takes me about 4 blocks to filter through all the slow clumps doing 35 in a 45, and slide into the left lane ahead of a Blue Pickup (comes in later), Monte in the middle and the Mustang (Late 90's V6 or crapped V8) and Merc in the far right.

As I get closer to my roomies I look over at the Pud and he floors it. I drop the gear and smile right at him like a cheshire cat with the foot planted. I get waaaaay beyond the guy (1/4 block), doing about 65-70 and I flash the hazards for two blinks (just for kicks).

I get filled in on this after we get back to the Apartment
{
Roomies in the Monte are even with the Pud.
Roomie: "Dude, that guy in the firebird that just ate your ass, that was our roommate."
Pud: "What Firebird?" :screwy: :loser:
Roomie: "Whatever man, I saw you looking, he raped you!"
}

This is where the blue pickup comes in. It's a V6 (4300 Vortec) and we've already gone out past the spot where I killed the tard in the Camaro a few weeks ago. He bumps the throttle, I know he wants to race and I want to see how good these trucks are. I hold my hand up to tell him to wait. A DPS cruiser goes by the other direction, the truck bumps the throttle again (waving my hand again to tell him to hold up). I got pulled over by a DPS officer as I came up behind him the week before. He was about 1/8 to almost 1/4 mile ahead of me uphill so I know these guys have the range and I didn't want to chance it just yet.

One block down, he bumps it I let him get on it and then I drop the gear and nail the gas. He is half a car ahead of me when I floor it, and I start pulling hard, bumping up to the 5 grand mark in both gears, I get my door just ahead of his bumper and then I shut it down because of traffic up ahead. I give the guy a thumbs up, and he busts a bitch. I wait to turn in on the next block so I can circle around the DPS.

*phone rings*
Me: "Yeah" It's my roomie...
Roomie: "Bust ass man that DPS just turned around and coming up hard on you guys!"
Me: "It's okay I took a different route and I'm rolling through suburbia."
Roomie: "Ahh, okay. He must have registered you two get on it."
Me: "Probably more because that guy busted a U-turn. I'll take the Interstate and run the long way around, I'll see you at the apartments."
*click*

Overall I saw a crap ton of cops running down to 82nd after I decided to take it back home, luckily I got away without anything but a pair of kills.

Cliffnotes:
Raped a Mustang
Had some major fun edging out a V6 Chevy Pickup.

Good kills. My area is swarming with cops. It would appear that L.A.P.D must have more then adequate funding, cause I see an average of 3-4 cop cars a day.

You'd probably hate my area then... I live about 1.5 miles from a Long Beach Police Sub-station. So they're all over my area.

And on my way to work on the other end of town, you pass the Police HQ and main Jail... and then there's the other Sub-Station about 3 blocks from my shop.

Not to mention, when I go get coffee in the morning... there's usually two patrol cars at the starbucks I go to... I park right next to them, or inbetween their cars. Always say "good morning". They're cool guys.

I see cops evvverrryydayyyyy... allll dayyyy.

Doesn't bother me... as it shouldn't I'm going to try to become one.

If you can't beat them, join em. :p

Or don't post at all. That way, everyone can be like, "Hey, what happened to that WarShrike guy?" Then someone would be like, "I don't know, last I heard he got gang banged and his body was dumped into a ditch." Then someone else would be like, "Oh sweet. Yeah, his post were always too long." :biggrin:

Sorry, I'm accustomed to posting on college forums and a few technical forums, so the post length is just common. Next race I'll be sure to insert the obligatory failure to use the english language and insert run on sentences.

I warned you it'd be a long read anyway...
