so ive been looking into getting new headlights but the hid conversion to the 99 jmd HIDs are wayyy to expensive for my budget, so im hear to ask what are your favorite halogen headlight bulbs and what colors are they (white/blue/purple)???

Bulbs are not real 'HID's'... you need to have a HID system...

halogen bulbs are white...the ones that are tinted blue in your local parts store will just make the light look whiter.

you can buy "zenon" bulbs which will make the light seem Blue but not bright like HID.

there are purple ones too im sure and i think they even have like a dark yelloy/orangish...but remember these are all bulbs that will just change the color of the light and usually make your visibitly worse at the sacrifice of a change in color.

i agree that the Zenon Projector 99' JDM taillights are way too expensive for someone who just wants brighter lights. these are for people have money to waste...

even for a real HID "add-on" kit look to spend atleast $400 and this will coem with all the hardware to have a true HID system. i plan on getting this someday but it is not one of my main priorties yet. :D

Generally, if you want truely BRIGHTER lights that use less power, there is NO option other than true HID. Yea, they're not cheap, but that's what you gotta do to get the real thing. If you just want a light that looks a little cooler than stock, the ONLY light that I will PERSONALLY vouch for is Sylvania Silverstars. They're not expensive (14 bucks each for my Z31 available at autozone and the like...cheaper on eBay) and they look pretty good. Not gay, just a bit different. You look at them and don't think "hey...those aren't stock", you think "hey...are those stock?"...which is how it should be...nice, but not gawdy. I've seen all different kinds of HID impersonators around town and the vaaaaaaaaaast majority of them are just plain gay. Get the Silverstars...they don't just look nice, but they actually are a little brighter.
