my friend is thinking of installing an aftermarket radio in his '99 3500. he said that he had heard of problems with the chime or something. i was wondering if he could use just the normal aftermarket radio harness or if he needs something special?

just buy a harness that snaps in like at future shop or best buy i did that for my dads truck and it sounds awsome i also used it wheni changed it and put in a satillite compatible aftermarket radio......an aftermaket plug is your best bet
