z32 maf, 2 in 5 out? 1 in 5 out?NiSmO_zt 07-14-2005, 12:45 PM So im approaching my turbo swap, and have a z32 mafs on the way, and have been reading about installing it and have seen people talk about the idle not being right until they changed the setup to 1in and 5 out, or 2 in and 5 out, what the hell does this mean? Are they talking about pins on the plug? Just wanted to line it up before i actually need it. thanks chris nissanfanatic 07-14-2005, 08:11 PM in and out are voltage. 2v in, 5v out. As for in, out settings, they vary from car to car. You should adjust the settings until you find something that works well for you. Anthony I believe used 1in, 5out on his setup whereas the norm is 2in,5out. His car ran better on 1in, 5out. Just like the 300zx actually uses 2in, 2out IIRC whereas I use 6in, 6out on my car. Just match the colors on the 300zx MAFS and 240sx harness. And ground the orange wire. SOLDER, SOLDER, SOLDER!!!! EVERYTHING!!! NiSmO_zt 07-14-2005, 11:06 PM so how do you actually control the voltage in and out? is that done by the fuel computer? ive got an enthalpy tune ecu from optionperformance that im using for this maf, so do i even have to do anything? thanks for the wiring diagram too :) TatII 07-15-2005, 01:49 AM on the car sensor selection you select hot wire setting and you select the in and out. my car ran with 1 in 6 out before i had the JWT ECU and now i'm running 6 in 6 out. NiSmO_zt 07-15-2005, 12:52 PM but dont you need an afc or e-manage to even have the "car sensor selection" ill be running the enthalpy tune ecu only nissanfanatic 07-15-2005, 03:50 PM Then you don't need to set anything. Plug and play. NiSmO_zt 07-15-2005, 05:36 PM cool, thanks a lot HoosierDrifter 07-16-2005, 03:28 AM holy shit... ur supposed to ground the orange wire?? hmm well that could be my problem :ylsuper: :bananasmi: vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
