Looking for a few 1st hand inputs on my ECU crisis...Fully built bulletproof B16A2, running 475lb Rc's and optimal fuel. The car is ready to start putting back together but alas I have no ECU as of yet. I have an old P28 Jun chipped lying around. So ? is, what boost have you guys heard of pulling on a 28?? Sucks I know but I need to get this hound moving

dont run any boost on a untuned ecu. get uberdata or hondata, or neptune which you can tune for your setup.

I fully realize that and I wouldnt even touch an uberdata. I just want to know what some people have seen or heard others pushing on a P28 with a built plant....Anyone!??

i know with uberdata people have push well over 450whp. i guess you can push, well not alot but a good amount with something to control fuel and timing

Well I already know what I can push at the wheels the plant hit the dyno with a EMS. My only question is the original one..

Do you mean just using the ECU you have now, without getting an ems? Are you talking about how many psi can be run with it? I think you need to be a little more specific about what you mean exactly.

If you mean that you want to use the JUN chipped P28 as-is, to run your built b16a; then forget about #'s and worry about damaging your new engine. Just because the block is "bulletproof" does not mean it is infact bulletproof, especially when not properly tuned. When people "chip" ecu's they either just put in a pre-programmed chip (like the JUN one), or they chip it with an EMS (uberdata, neptune, Hondata). You will need to chip it with an EMS program, so you can set it up to run your built DOHC engine. Otherwise just running it with the chip as-is, your engine will run like sh*t. An ECU that is chipped with the right EMS has no hp or boost limits, it's other things that will limit you (insufficient fuel delivery, MAP sensor seeing too much boost, etc).
