Mimiamy 10-20-2005, 09:49 PM my coolant tank has sprung a leak... lol... its a SMALL ASS hole and it sprays a REALLY THIN stream of coolant out when its up to temp or close... is there any kind of patch or somethin i could put over this? or do i have to replace the whole tank? thanks for ur help I had the same thing on my 98 Taurus and unsuccessfully tried a two part plumbers putty, good to 250 degrees. I ended up buying a brand new coolant tank, for 32 dollars, at a Ford dealer. About 20 min. work, and it was done. NeoSNightmarE 10-21-2005, 09:33 PM same thing with me. '99 SE. i was pissed. but its best to just replace the thing in the end. patching does basically nothing. sparrbq 10-25-2005, 07:34 AM Mine is a 1997, had the "pin-hole" leak replaced it with a new one. Just replace it I say and You wont have to worry about it again. Easy & quick to swap out too. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
