Any good,cheap aftermarket parts for 01 Civic?

My friend's parent just bought him a 01 Civic EX and he wanna add some stuff to it. He just wants the car to look and sound good, so he wont be needing any nitrous or turbo (no turbo for 01 Civic anyway). So do you guys know where to buy cheap but reliable aftermarket parts for the 01 Civic? He wants a good looking bodykit, muffler, and intake. So far he cant find a decent body kit for under $600. And about the muffler, are Arospeed mufflers any good? at increasing power+torque? Cause they're the cheapest brand I know of besides universal ones. And finally, which is the best intake out there for the 01 Civic?

1. the words Good and cheap doesn't necesarilly mix when taking about car performance products. If you want just sound and look then you can go cheap, if you want sound and performance together then get the word cheap out(unless you buy good used parts that will usually sell for a cheaper price)

2. Arospeed muffler are on the Sound,cheap NO Performance side. In other words,for most ppl they're crap. If your friends parent just want to "look like" he has power and sound good then yes buy Arospeed muffler,if he wants sound and performance think about something better(trust me there are alot of better mufflers than arospeed).

3.If you want to add HP you will have to enlarge the Pipe diameter of your exhaust.It can be done by either purchasing a Cat back sistem or just buying a Good universal muffler(such as HKS,Greddy,5Zigen,Tanabe etc.....) and doing a custom pipe job. 2.25" or 2.5" should do well for the pipe diameter.

4. DC sports has a header for the 2001 civic. I think i also saw an Intake filter for the 2001 but dunno right now which company makes it.

Expect like 10 hp gain from a header+intake+exhaust...If he wants more hp then he will have to work the engine more(better cams,cam sprockets,head work, better fuel sistem or go FI) but since the 2001 civic is a new model there are not too much stuff out yet.

if u want good sound definately get a GOOD and probably NOT CHEAP muffler/catback system cos uh, civics around in my area with cheap exhaust components sounds like my lawn mower :apuke:
