what size injectors???djK1 07-13-2005, 12:42 PM Ok, not to give you a long background story, but I tore open my oil pan, broke a motor mount and bent my shift linkages playing chicken with an abnormally high man hole cover...I lost. So since I have to do some work to my car, I am going to install my turbo set up that has been sitting in my garage for about a year and a half, I'm a procrastinator. So I have a JDM B16A1, 255 walbro fuel pump thus far and I'm going to need some injectors, I am going to get some MSD injectors because I can get a hook up. So with that said, what size injectors will I need? I am aiming for 1 bar / 14-15 lbs of boost (Yes I'm rebuilding my bottom end with pro crower rods and pistons I haven't picked out yet). I'm also getting a Vector X intake manifold and my e-manage can control 2 sets of injectors. Should I go that route, 2 sets of injectors? If so what size injectors will i need for that? Should I post this question in the tech forum? what I have/going to get JDM B16A1 Vector X intake manifold turbonetics t3/t04b oversized f/m intercooler msd 6a ing. system GReddy e-manage full system, Injector & Ignition controls 255 walbro fuel pump other stuff that really doesn't pertain to this question and too long to list. djk1 londa hover 07-13-2005, 07:21 PM Whats the cfm rating on your turbo? djK1 07-14-2005, 09:00 AM Not sure, the turbo has been sent off to be rebuilt, but I haven't talked about the specifics yet. I'm aiming for about 300hp at the crank, I would love to have 300hp at the wheels, but I want to be practical and reliable. what do you suggest for this set up since I am having the turbo rebuilt I should be able to size the turbine to my specs. civicHBsi91 07-14-2005, 05:10 PM I did a huge write up on this along time ago...ill see if I can dig it up. civicHBsi91 07-14-2005, 05:20 PM Choosing the right size Injectors (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=250614&highlight=injectors) civickiller 07-18-2005, 02:41 AM dont go 2 sets, just get bigger and go single set too complicated, get dsm 450s, they are good for 300whp. and if the turbo is a good size then you dont need to go 14psi to reach 300whp. djK1 07-20-2005, 12:47 PM Thanks, that was what I needed! problemhatch 08-11-2005, 05:02 PM Witht the right tuning you can easily put down 350 on pump gas to the wheels w/14-15 psi. watch the injector duty cycle. I would go with rc 550 saturated to be safe. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
