So once again I'm bored shitless after coming home from school/work and decide to put some fun into my night. Well I take the car and notice my tank is almost 3/4 empty or 1/4 full. So I know where I have to go after I ge some races in. Well a friend calls me up and I decide to meet them for a bit so they can show me their new toy...2003 Mach 1, fucking awesome car.
Anyways on the way back to my end of the woods I get stopped at a red light, this road turns into a highway and that's when a 3, the same colour as mine, pulls in next to me. He looks over and says
him: "nice car"
me: "nice colour"
him: "how about a race?"
me: "sure, I've been looking for one all night"
Light turns green and I get him off the line and keep my distance in front of him. I slowed down and he was getting off the exit but he put his thumbsup through the sunroof and I proceeded to do the same. So I was happy that I had one race at least and decided to go my merry way to the money toilet a.k.a gas station.
96.7 cents a litre!!!! Fuck off, I knew of another station not too far away that's always cheaper. So I head in that direction when some very familiar headlights appear in my reaer view mirror. A silver Grand Am with blue trim (obviously a custom job) and ginormous exhausts quickly swings around to my side. He paces me for a good minute and guns it every now and again to see if I'd bite. Too bad the station came up so I pulled in and this guy follows.
87.7 cents a litre was much better. I get out and the driver stops at the pump across from mine. So we're both filling up and he starts the conversation with
him: "you scared to race?"
me: "no, you got lucky I had to put in gas"
He gets a bit less friendly now
him: "you think your cheap car can beat mine?"
me: "I don't think, I know"
him: "well how about we go for it when you're done feeding your little mouse"
me: "Mighty mouse will eat up your rice mobile"
This is when he gets Too Furious Too Fast
him: "you better watch your mouth punk, my exhaust gives me 50 more HP"
me: "wow, is that all you have?"
him: "that's all I need to beat 99% of the cars on the streets"

Thank God I was done filling up because I couldn't take it anymore. Long story short, he stood no chance and I had more than enough room to walk him.

I think the 7th is the shitty vinyl flame job, heh. That's gotta be good for 50 ponies or so.

nice kill, i notice alot of grand am owners are rice, i remember talking to one saying that since he got new plugs and wires in his car, he got like 30 more HP. His intake added 15HP, his muffler added 10 HP. Then when i raced him with 3 people in my car, and just him in his, i still beat him.

A lot of grand am's around here are riced out as well. Cept this is brown rice, so the wheels are tiny, with rubber bands for tires and are offset about 6 inches outside the fenderwell.

Now add that on top of cheap vinyl, red tint windows, wings, fart cans and body kits that are unpainted and torn up....UGH.

This is also the case for 80% of the "modified" cars in this part of Mesa.

After I was done putting gas in, I was on my way to pay and I looked inside his car, and man, let me tell you that I have never seen as many gauges and neon lighting in my life. It was like what the movies depeict as a spaceship, it was so friggin "hi-tek", but yea I did laugh as I walked by the car and all this was adding to the rage. By the way, if I hadn't mentionned it before this dood was like at least 30 years old. So I paid, got back in my car, and yelled "lead the way mister".
He peels out of the station like a tool and I follow. So we get in this street that is near my place, flat, long, unoccupied, perfect.
We line up at the light, like idiots we stopped at a green light until it turned red, I just look over, smile at him and give him a goodbye wave.
Light turns green and we both jump on it. I swear to God I fuking hate the low end torque of my car, I wasn't even able to put much distance on him. He looks over, a little worried and somewhat confused, I just returned a dead stare and waited to shift into 3rd....booom....that's when I passed him liek he was standing still.
Finally! I thought to myself and put it into 4th as I see some teardrop headlights fading in the mirrors.

i hate how people over estimate power mods, and underestimate 1/4 mile times. low 14's is pretty freaking quick for any car, and is ridicously fast for a riced out saturn with a fart cannon. boy if only their logic really works, then i would have like 800hp with the stuff that i've done.
