The idea is that the intake air should be cold ... or as cold as possible ... also, you may have to fabricate a brace or another way to keep everything from bouncing and vibrating ... good luck ! I'm considering the big $$ for a K&N intake system on Ebay ... i just bought a cold air intake kit from ebay(as recomended by people here), and turns out im really bad at this stuff and dont know how to install it. ive looked for picture by picture steps for my 2000 blazer but no luck. can anyone help me? thanks xVANx 07-13-2005, 01:47 AM BlazerLT 07-13-2005, 02:08 AM look at the picture and do it/ xVANx 07-14-2005, 01:36 AM a quick question, i just installed it, but wonder if i need a heat shield for it? BlazerLT 07-14-2005, 02:08 AM Naw, just make sure all the pipe coupling are tight and secure. And don't over oil the filter the next time you service it. Filter oil will destroy your MAF if you over do it. xVANx 07-15-2005, 12:54 AM ok, cool...thanks BlazerLT 07-16-2005, 09:26 AM ok, cool...thanks Punny. Cold air intake........cool?
