1998 Isuzu Trooper PROBLEM.Andrey 07-12-2005, 09:06 PM I have a problem. On my 98 3.5 with TOD. After driving for about 20-25 minutes (normal city driving) every time i come to the stop, or just when i'm about to stop my front end starts shaking-vibrating really noticablesame when im just about to move. If i shift trans to neutral i have no problem. I hope its not my TRANSMISSION going. Otherwise runs good, good brakes and rotors. What is a problem? Andrey amigo-2k 07-12-2005, 11:38 PM I would start by checking your tranny fluid level. Andrey 07-13-2005, 05:56 AM Level is good I just had it changed, but problem was even before that. amigo-2k 07-13-2005, 11:06 AM Check to see if your selector on the dash matches up with the one on the floor. Put it is D and then gently push forward to se if the dash one jumps in to N. See the FAQ's on tranny selector. Andrey 07-13-2005, 06:22 PM Everything is fine. It only starts doing it after about 20-25 minutes driving. kplusten 07-22-2005, 11:46 AM My 99 3.5L Trooper did the same thing. I had the pan removed and it had pieces of metal from a retainer ring failure. I recommend you do not drive it as you have probably already ruined the torque converter and can ruin more internal gears increasing the cost when you get it rebuilt. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
