Whose at the top of the food chain here at the AF Street Racing Forums?CamaroSSBoy346 07-11-2005, 11:34 PM I just got done reading the thread about that Cobolt, and got me thinking? Who here has the top dog, stupid fast mobile? How to be part of this "survey?" Post up a valid time slip, with you're STREET LEGAL car, that you drive, atleast twice a week, and have actually STREET RACED with. What do you get, as a reward? How about the fastest car in the street racing forums? Heres mine: 15.94 @ 87.12 (for the 94 V8 Bird. No times for the SC) :icon16: -Josh- 07-11-2005, 11:41 PM Oh dear god...another one of these threads... I can see Dampachi all over again. I dont have the time slips from my track experience, the only memorable thing about that night was pulling the 1.8 60'. But i'm certainly no where near the top of the food chain. illegal_eagle187 07-12-2005, 12:17 AM i do not have any time slips lol im probably a rat in the food chain :lol2: bad360rt 07-12-2005, 12:58 AM Here's my slip. Just dyno'd on Sunday, 493rwhp/473rwtq on 94 pump gas. 76K miles, drive it all the time (got a '93 Jeep for nasty weather), full interior, a/c, stereo, etc. I run with the fiberglass tonneau on and tailgate on. Only changes at the track are a set of Bogart racing wheels, pull the front sway bar and some good gas just to be safe. With a 120mph trap, she's definitely got a better ET in her, just have to tweak the suspension and get a bigger stall and she'll get there. I'll also be doing a bigger cam soon, so look for low 11's this fall, maybe even a 10 if I'm lucky  http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v730/bad360rt/11_62.jpg BullDog71ss 07-12-2005, 01:02 AM PSHHHHH...I got this one in the bag. 16.8 @ 94 mph 2002 GMC HD 2500 :icon16: Sleepr awd 07-12-2005, 01:33 AM whoa thats messed up 16.8 w/ a 94mph trap speed, my approx. is 15.17 @ 90.1 mph TatII 07-12-2005, 01:41 AM i haven't dynoed my setup yet ( i'm too broke ) but i'm guessing around 280-300whp and i should be trapping around 107mph. i really gotta go get that dynoed and get to a track. CivRacer95 07-12-2005, 01:49 AM Top dog eh? Well then. I'm going to have to say that I'm top injun around here. There's no one here than can top that at all. :icon16: As for timeslips, I got nothin'. Kinda like my civ. Nothin'.... RaidenKing 07-12-2005, 02:42 AM in a game of kings and pawns I would be a knight -The Stig- 07-12-2005, 04:18 AM Haven't raced the Z28 against anything yet... or at the track. Not sure. speedthrill 07-12-2005, 07:32 AM i do not have any time slips lol im probably a rat in the food chain :lol2: you're not alone :p -Jayson- 07-12-2005, 11:57 AM i know the threads locked, but just for references http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=412075 stupid dampachi had to go a ruin all the fun with his natzi ways Igovert500 07-12-2005, 12:29 PM Why do I have a feeling a truck or a Grand National is gonna walk away with this one? Anyway I havn't run mine with the new mods, and know that there are faster guys on here. So let's just put me in the low 13s/high 12s ballpark. bad360rt 07-12-2005, 12:46 PM Why do I have a feeling a truck or a Grand National is gonna walk away with this one? That's right, I forgot there's a GN on here, he was low 11's wasn't he? banditkiller 07-12-2005, 12:46 PM No slip but the protege wouldnt do better than id say an 18 . Ohh ...... and yeah damp is an idiot. Had the pleasure of beating him in a "stock" gtp. Was funny how I never saw that death of his posted on here. -Josh- 07-12-2005, 01:11 PM That's right, I forgot there's a GN on here, he was low 11's wasn't he? With his new setup he should be in the 9/10's if i remember right. Vettribution 07-12-2005, 01:13 PM I am aiming for 12's possible 11's once the programmer is complete.. should bump it up to over 400HP plus and get rid of that annoying 98 mph speed limiter. *(ugh)* Current dyno 390HP/430lbs ft. of torque. bad360rt 07-12-2005, 02:08 PM With his new setup he should be in the 9/10's if i remember right. Sounds like it's pretty mean, or will be (is it finished yet?). Where is he anyway, hypsi or something like that, right? Saw a pretty nasty GN running Sunday night, probably a 10 sec car judging by the cars that he was beating up on. Ace$nyper 07-12-2005, 02:41 PM *walks away* Vettribution 07-12-2005, 02:49 PM So besides maybe a GNX, you are telling me three trucks will battle for a king of the crop title? Odd. bad360rt 07-12-2005, 03:14 PM So besides maybe a GNX, you are telling me three trucks will battle for a king of the crop title? Odd. Just the way it should be :iceslolan LOL What's funny is I'm about in the middle as far as the cars I hang out with around here, got a bunch that make me look stock :eek7: But it's ok, I hang pretty good for a truck ;) Vettribution 07-12-2005, 03:23 PM They probably spend more time on their vehicles than on the internet talking smack about everyone elses. I believe the stage engine is either finished and ready to go in, or it's in and almost ready to start. He's been really busy with his car and work. Hopefully when he gets it done we'll get some pictures up and i'll get to cruise with him. It's definately gonna be a bad ass ride. :evillol: GritMaster 07-12-2005, 04:20 PM Does Jekyl not count cause he doesn't street race? if so that's unfair. bad360rt 07-12-2005, 04:25 PM Does Jekyl not count cause he doesn't street race? if so that's unfair. He counts because he drives his car on the street, I believe that was the only requirement, that it be somewhat daily driven. Gotta race it at the track to get a slip, so street racing shouldn't matter :) What does he run, I know he's in the 11's, haven't seen him on here in a while. bad360rt 07-12-2005, 04:26 PM I believe the stage engine is either finished and ready to go in, or it's in and almost ready to start. Igovert500 07-12-2005, 04:46 PM He drives it on the street and does hill climb races, but doesn't do anymore illegal street racing. That might be me your thinking of but that car was sold a long time ago. So I'm def out of the competition.... maybe this time next year when my 351W TT is done I can give some of these guys competition. Hopefully Andy comes around wit 1/4 mile times from his GN since before some of his new mods he was at 11.7's I think. Hypsi87 07-13-2005, 12:32 AM My stage 2 setup will be ready to roll out next summer in a new GN. It will be street legal but not a daily driver The engine will be aprox. 1500 HP flywheel my street car has gone 11.12@121 MPH. I will get time slips to you this weekend, I dont have a scanner anymore so.... I am expecting high8/9's out of the stage setup when it is done. On pump gas and Alcohol injection my best times are 11.31@117.4MPH.@25 PSI my ported heads/intake and roller cam kick ass. my 11.12 run was on race fuel and 27 PSI street_racer_00 07-13-2005, 02:30 AM ^He wins...I would be towards the bottom end of the food chain anyway...when all you've driven your entire life are ford ranger and ford explorers, low 15's are fast! haha. bad360rt 07-13-2005, 07:49 AM my street car has gone 11.12@121 MPH. Very nice! I don't mind taking second place to a GN, love 'em! I should be down around there with a bigger stall and some more suspension tweaks. Thinking about alcohol injection too, you're running a kit on your car right? Which one? How do you like it? Robs71Nova 07-13-2005, 08:20 AM I personally prefer to go fast in every car I own.. I have two low 12 second cars (one high 11's with a small shot of nitrous) that are all driven and I put 50-100 miles on a week, and a 13 second car I could use as a daily driver (WS6) .. I COULD get rid of two of them and dump all the money into one, but IMHO it is not exactly pratical to have a 10 second street car. Rob qr25sentra 07-13-2005, 12:39 PM im waitin for the winter to go to the track cuz i live in south florida. im pretty sure i run a 15.5-15.4 and after the safc i should be right there with street_racer_00 :) Hypsi87 07-13-2005, 09:35 PM Very nice! I don't mind taking second place to a GN, love 'em! I should be down around there with a bigger stall and some more suspension tweaks. Thinking about alcohol injection too, you're running a kit on your car right? Which one? How do you like it? I use the SMC dual nozzle alky kit. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my alky kit or SMC. Steve Chalpuza (SMC owner) is excelent when it comes to customer service and help. If you do get the kit, specify that you want smaller nozzles. He tries to sell 10 GPH nozzles but that is so every joe can use it. The problem is when it comes atomization. with the smaller nozzles crank up the pump speed to increase pressure. If you get one I can walk you though it. ] I can go from having my car completly wack to in the ball park in about 10 min with the alky kit. Here is the kit I run.http://www.rjcracing.com/SMC_Alcohol_Injection/smc_alcohol_injection.html I would reccomend it to anyone hands down. the Alkycontrol kit is nice but the producer is not a very respectable guy IMO. Thats all I will say about him. street_racer_00 07-13-2005, 10:15 PM im waitin for the winter to go to the track cuz i live in south florida. im pretty sure i run a 15.5-15.4 and after the safc i should be right there with street_racer_00 :) Perish the thought :grinyes: GritMaster 07-14-2005, 12:30 AM Did slowprocess kill himself? I lost over 300 lbs from Hyde and did not call Jenny Craig once ;) Awesome job on the four wins in a row!! Kickin ass dude. I've been thinking about some minor weight reduction, but I don't want to strip it down, I like driving the truck as well as racing it, so I want to keep the full interior, stereo, a/c, etc. But possibly some lighter seats and a lil weight reduction in other areas. Altho, any faster and she's gonna need a rollbar and I really don't want to cut her up, but we'll see. street_racer_00 07-14-2005, 06:47 PM 11.7...that's only accurate down to the 10th of a second, not the 100th....I call BS on that, hyde...j/k. Sure these times are woefully slow but it's the only street driven car I got a slip on at the moment. The Grudge Race was a friends 2003 Pontiac Bonneville 3800 V6 against my 1994 Chrysler LHS 3.5 V6. http://members.aol.com/pnyryd9521/timeslip.jpg The Bonneville is car 131 on the left, I'm on the right, as you can see I am NOT very well known at the local Drag Strip! But hell, because of that run it's good to know I can at least pick on a Bonneville! (don't they make a supercharged one too? better beware of those!) Vettribution 07-15-2005, 11:36 PM Trucks shall inherit the AutomotiveForums-Earth. Or something. (I have a car with an Ecotec I plan on making even faster.) nissanfanatic 07-16-2005, 12:04 AM YES!! But hell, because of that run it's good to know I can at least pick on a Bonneville! (don't they make a supercharged one too? better beware of those!) Yeah, they make supercharged ones, that's what I drive. Last time at the track (i've only done 5 total runs with it) was a 15.21@90.8mph with a 2.39 60'. This was with a 3.4 pulley, intake, 180tsat, and exhaust. I've since done alot more: Cam, PCM, shift kit, 105lb springs, and supporting mods. Curious as to what I can do now if I can launch it. I ran my friend's 05 SRT4 (stock) from a stop to 100 and lost by one and a half cars. I'll add a 3.2" pulley before then, but after I fix my exhaust. My mufflers blew out :( Slowprocess 07-20-2005, 06:58 PM What's up ladies? It's too damn hot here to do any racing. Right now I'm at a 12.4. The truck is getting some work done to it right now. I've got my caltracs here, my Holley fuel pump is here, and I'm waiting to get my QA1s. I've maxed out my current suspension setup, so I had to can the et streets on the stock rims and go with something a good bit wider. I tried to spray on it and got a 2.2 60ft(normally a 1.7-1.8) and had to feather it out of it. I figure with the suspension woes solved and my normal 60ft times, I shouldn't have a problem knocking off .4 to get my 11s. FWIW....I'll be on the 150hp pills for the shootout(hence the fuel pump upgrade.) Maybe you guys will be able to view this, so I'll try. This was my best run so far against a modded late model Lightning. Hope it works. I guess this is as good as a slip. http://video.performancetrucks.net/Player.aspx?fileid=F5C8DF5A-CDB2-40AC-B517-C6810B1A8383 GritMaster 07-21-2005, 02:38 AM He's alive!!!
