boost gauge

just supercharged my integra, and between 6500 and 7100 rpms right before i switch gears, my boost gauge jumps from 6-10psi. Any one know what the problem may be? i think it is a bad gauge, because i don't feel a power increase.

what charger? what pulley? SCs have a tendency to jump boost. my 6 psi pulley boost at 8 psi. my 9 psi pulley boost at 11psi. other than me, many other people have different readings also. where does your guage sit at when the car is turned off?

i have the 6psi pulley on and the gauge sits at 0 when the car is off and 20-30 vac on idle.

the xtra boost popping up should be of no concern. just make sure there isnt serious deteonation going on. a steady 17-22 inhg at idle (give or take 2 inhg) is the right vac reading. 30 inhg is too much.
