SR20B12 07-14-2005, 02:06 AM Was thinkin of swaping out my ga16i for a sr20det any comments COME ON WHAT HAS NOBODY DONE IT to answer the question. yes it been done about 6 times in the world that I know of. all these swaps cost alot of money and time(home work) yes you could do this swap .but you should weigh it out. the best bang for you buck is to get a b13 SE-R or G20 with the SR20 in it and swap a DET in it's place. should run you 2000-2500 for the car 1200-2200 for the DET plus your time. my swap is in the ball park of4000 bucks and and I did the work(I.E. fabing ,wiring, etc. ) So it's all if you want to have a money pit car thats 15+ yrs old . well that's my 2 cents chip Sentradriver 07-14-2005, 03:58 AM what kinda fabing did you have to do mounts etc...? SR20B12 07-14-2005, 04:47 PM what kinda fabing did you have to do mounts etc...? use the crossmember from the se-r and all the mounts . you have to fab the tranny mount, and thewell mount up by the pulleys. u also have to fab the stick shifter . look www.nissanperformancemag.com look in the turbo B12 to give you an idea of the work. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
