Hi, today I was helping my father with his '89 Sierra, 350 CID engine, w/ TBI. We changed the valve seals on the engine, did everything as we should have, put each cylinder to top dead center, hooked an air compressor in to the spark plug hole to keep the valves up, remove the rocker arms and compress the springs, etc. etc. While we were under the hood we also changed the spark plugs, and distibutor rotor and cap. Once we got done, and fired it up, the truck shook like crazy, and ran like crap especially at idle. There was also a ticking/knocking somewhere along the driver's side of the engine. We checked all the ignition wires, and they were all tight, and snapped in place, checked all other wires, and vacume lines. What happened?? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Well, we took off the valve cover again, and looked into everything, checking each valve individually, and it turned out that the intake valve on cylinder 3 was too tight, and wasn't closing all the way. After we fixed that, the truck ran great!
