This race happened like two weeks ago but since I have no car now cause my shop is dragging their feet (fuckers) with my turbo install waiting for a turbo flange while my car is sitting in their lot I thought I would share.

My buddy just bought a bone stock 89 supra turbo with 175,000 miles on it (This may play a factor later). So we drive up to the local toyota so he can get his inspection done and on the way home we decide to have a little fun run since my car would be put in the shop the next day. We line up next to each other with open highway in front of us from a 60 mph roll. I drop into third, he drops into third. He honks us down and we go. I pulled on him from the start all the way to 100 mph finishing up about 2.5 to 3 cars ahead.

I attribute this beating to him running on a tired engine and a small exhaust leak at his turbo manifold but all in all a fun little race. Hopefully I'll have some more interesting stories once my shop finishes up my god damn install.

Thanks. I was kinda dissapointed in this outcome cause I was expecting a closer race.

Yea you probably would've taken him if his engine wasn't old and tired, but not by too much. If I could get my N/A (now) MKIII to start ever it could take you....but it's more likely to end up getting junked.

Yeah I'm getting so impatient having my car away from me getting the work done. Every day is torture. The shop is pissing me off cause they have had my car for two weeks and they haven't done a fucking thing. I keep calling and they say that they are waiting for the turbo flange but they haven't done any other work that doesn't involve the exhause piping like wiring, fuel pump, injectors ect that they could be doing while my car is just sitting there. I guess it'll be worth it in the end I'm just frustrated right now cause I could be driving my car while the parts are coming in.

yeah, and i can't wait to hear about it, but when you do get itand start posting stories, i'll want my kit even more, i'm looking at 2 years to get mine done the way things are going for me

next is window tinting, then i'll get the exhaust and e-manage, we just got a dyno tuning place in town so its a lot easier to tune now
