Hey, guys,

I have a problem with the AC on my 94 camry. The ac works only occasionally and for short periods of time. Usually it starts, blows cold air for less than a minute and the light on the switch starts blinking. Then it quits and only the fans work.

Can anyone help me figure out what could be wrong? When the light starts blinking it sounds like it turns the ac motor off.

hi , i have same problem , a/c works for about 5 seconds then the switch ligths blinks and the a/c compresor doesn't engage , i check the a/c relay and when this happend the a/c relay doesn't works too (no positive to it works)...... i don't find the maintenance manual at the top of this forum , sombody can guide me through the maintenance manual to download it?

Just click open the link with your model year and you're on your way.

Generally, when the light blinks it indicates the clutch on the compressor is not synchronised with it's command. This can be caused by something as simple as a loose drive belt or loose/corroded electrical connection...or something as involved as a bad clutch assembly or A/C computer, etc... As Brian R states, the manual should guide you through the troubleshooting process.
