Security System Installation Issues...

Hey All...
I just read through all the material I could find in this forum and the internet at large, and I still have some questions.
What I'm working with:
93 Accord EX
HiTech HT-455 security system (cheapo $45 ebay thing)
The instructions royaly stink, but I that's not exactly my problem at the moment.
Stupid stuff first:
What is a "dormer"? (output: -500mA)
What is a "engine cap"? (output: -500mA)
If I knew what they were, I could figure out what I was supposed to connect them to.
OK, next question is how do people normally hook up the ignition inhibitor? I thought it was a standard relay that would either allow power through or not. It's currently hooked up in my fuse box (in place of the 50 amp fuse), and no matter which wires I give power, it still starts. There's an orange wire with no description that I'm guessing is the brain's control, and a small yellow wire I'm supposed to connect to the ignition key wire. So logically, if both have power, the relay should be activated and power let through, if just the yellow has power, then nothing should happen, but if orange has power, then it should start (if I had an automatic tranny anyway). I'm just shooting in the dark here because there are literally no useful installation instructions in the manual. I read this very useful page (http://members.cox.net/shaundrake/alarm/carAlarmMods.html) and got a lot of good ideas, but nothing concrete for my unit.
I've got my Haynes manual, so finding the proper wires shouldn't be a problem one I know what I'm looking for.
Poncho, I read that you do installs for your living, so any advice on where to go to get decent diagrams or anything would be great. I'm still enjoying my Directed 1100d5, btw.
I'm hoping there's some way to wire a little trigger/sensor to monitor the hood location (so someone can't pop the hood and kill the siren/power), but I'm not sure if this unit supports that.
So basically: dormer, engine cap, ignition cut off.
Thanks!
