Hi

Im new to the forum , im currently considering a GTI 1.8T. Ive been warned that unless you have alot of spare cash to throw into it not too bother, because if the turbo gets damaged or stops working, repairs and replacements can be very pricey. My question is how reliable are the turbo's on this model and are they known for failing etc ?

all vw's are not all that reliable, but if you want a gti, and dont want to worry about a turbo, the vr6 is the model to get. it has more power and no turbo to wory about.
