i have a98 dodge 1500 ram 5.2L I installed a aftermarket radio now my tail light,cluster,interior and parking light don't work HELP!!!!!!!!! any ideas where i went wrong:banghead:

Did you un-install your radio & see if everything came back?

Yep, I un-installed the radio, and still had the same problems, so for now I had to run a jumper wire from my headlights to my taillights just to get everything to work.

That might be the best solution temporarily. I'd also say, if you still have the wiring harness from the original radio, try reconnecting that & see if you get everything back.

Did you do the install on the Radio or did a Professional do it?

If a professional did it, you might take it back to them and have them fix it.

did it myself. the ignition hot wire has no power, all fuses are good

Okay. Silly question...but gonna ask cuz i've done this. Have you checked ALL the fuses, including the ones UNDER the hood?

If nothing else, as long as it eventually works with "jumpers" ...and you have fuse protection...it should be good to go. You might have a split or a break in some wire somewhere...and you'd end up tearing the entire truck apart just to find it.

Let me know if you run across anything else....

great tip for the manual. I was wondering if any of you guys have run into this problem yet. I am trying to help a buddy out with his 02 ram 1500 quad cab. The problem we are running into is there are no parking lights. I know the light switch sends out a resisted ground and turns on the gauge lights and parking lights. But where does the wire go from there, I mean, it has to go to what the PCM? to change from resisted to a straight ground for the parking light relay under the hood? I used a jumper wire and found that the parking lights do work so the problem is post switch and pre-relay. Any help at all on this is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

NO HEAT....Hello everyone!!! i have a 99 ram 1500 sport 4x4....318..... i have had the whole system backflushed, t- stat changed to oem 175 then a 195. i have some heat when under a load... but not much such as plowing thats all i use it for. also a new cap. the water circulates, but does not get hot(can keep my finger in it,lol) no leaks no strange sounds,and have even parked on about a 70 to 80 degree hill and had the cap off while doing this...and still no HEAT. have blocked off the rad also with cardboard and it stays about the same.is there a valve or censer im not finding? tyvm every one for any info.
