just got done with the valve cover gaskets... i did remove the plenum that was very time consuming.... but it made the valve cover job easier... the catch on the plenum is that there is a torx head bolt under the plenum in the middle there is a slot in the top of the plenum that is not wide enough for a socket to go through but i borrowed a long t-handle type torx bit (t-40) and removed it.... when i put it back in the bolt head was too wide to go through the slot and you cant start the bolt with your hand under the plenum.. so i just ground a little off the head of the bolt (two small flat spots on each side) and with a little bit of permatex on the torx bit to hold the bolt it went through and started easier... it was clearly designed for us not to do it ourselves.... but i take that as a challenge... i now have a check engine light... ive double ckecked all my connections... disconected my battery light still is on... the truck is running fine... ill have to deal with that later... next job is an oil pan gasket...
