My 96 Rodeo 4x4 Indicator light staying on. Any ideas what it can possibly be? It came on while driving.

If you start to experience a charge battery light, stereo cutting out, tranny shifting weird, missing type symptoms in the engine, ANY of these other symptoms could be a sign of an alternator failure soon to come.

Sometimes you may only get one light, or a combination of issues, just depends.

Then again, you may have another issue with the 4x4 system solely. Not sure, but I have heard that that light will come on as well, if an alternator is to blame.

does it fill like it is in 4x4 if so its your transmission if not its the computer if thats not it i guess it could be the altanater
