Between these two brands anybody have any experience with them?? How do they compare with regards to the ride....... no load in the bed and having a load. Towing?? Cornering?? Longevity??

I have had Bilsteins in 4 of the last five vehicles. The 97 Sanoma with the factory lowered ZQ8(SS) suspension had the stiff Bilsteins from the factory. That truck held the road, the tires never lost tracion. Just remember what they are for, stopping vibrations not stopping body roll. Sway bars, polyurethane bushings and lowering the supension will help stop body roll. Once I put Bilsteins on I never had to replace them again. Suggest you find the valve flow rates of each vibration dampner(shock) to do a proper comparison.

What I would have said.

Two different shocks. The Edelbrock Extreme IAS have a 5/8" bore. It helps to solve the blown valve problem the original IAS shocks suffered. They are designed to decrease body roll and dive - which they do. I have had both edelbrock's and Bilstein's and love them both. The warranty (for off-road) is a little better on the Edelbrock's; Bilstein wont touch them if they blow while "off-road". (Like anyone would tell them.) The Edelbrocks will give you a softer ride, but the Bilstein's seem to handle the really rough stuff better.
