coolant fan not stopping, '01 dodge caravanpwalsh 06-30-2005, 12:03 PM It seems like my coolant fan runs constantly when it kicks on when the motor is warmed up. The dealer says its suppose to when a/c or interior fan is on. But its seems its weird that it is always going with or without the interior fan or a/c on. It stops when motor is shut off. Has anyone had similar problem? B33p3r 06-30-2005, 07:19 PM Radiator fan relay or the relay control. i believe the relay control is part of the PCM. The fan relay should have 4 connections to it. #1 is the B+, #2 is the output to the fans, #3 is the ground and #4 is the input from the relay control(PCM). Check #4 for voltage when the fans should not be running. If there is no voltage at 4 but the fans are still running, the relay is most likely shorted on. Replace it. If there is voltage at #4 then the Relay control(pcm) is telling it to run. In this case you will need to determine if something is telling the PCM that the fan needs to run or if the PCM itself is confused.
