Urgent Question !!!BrazilianVTEC 06-29-2005, 10:30 PM Guys, i just sleeved my B16a2 to 85mm, and my original plan was to keep the stroke stock , make it only 1.8 !!! But i`m also changing the rods , so my question is this , WHICH PISTON, ROD and CRANK setup can i use to raise my displacement even more ? I don`t want Stroker kit because i don`t have the cash right now , i wanted something like an LS crank or something i could get for cheap and that would handle the job for now ! Please Help me out , i just need to decide this to finish building my engine ! THANKS !!! boosted331 06-30-2005, 08:38 PM You probably won't understand if I go into detail so I'll leave it at this. If you're building this for boost 85mm bore was the wrong choice. An 85mm B16 is barely 1.75 litres, not 1.8 To run an LS crank in your B16 you need custom pistons and stock length rods. Running LS length rods in a B16 block with an LS crank is not a good street motor period. Running a GSR crank with B16 rods with a custom piston is an acceptable street motor. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
