I have a 1997 VW Jetta GTI. It started smoking today - Heavy white smoke - Vehicle has 102,000 miles. One Owner. Has been maintained on a very regular basis.

Any idea's?

Head gasket or cracked head.

let's all pray for a blown head gasket......

Aba block shouldn't be so hard to change...

if you try and do it, check the block and head for warpage and use new head bolts....
