I was just wandering if a 1987 Homda Accord LXI L4-1955cc 2.0L SOHC FI engine will Fit and bolt up to a 1987 Honda Civic SI Manual Trans. The Civic has a L4-1488cc 1.5L SOHC(D15A3)MFI..

i think the accord engine is an f-series engine, and wont bolt up to the d-series tranny. Also, the mounting points are different. youre better off pulling an engine from an 86-89 teg and using that

or are they A series? either way, it probably won't work, like eightohone said

your order of easiest to most difficult (factoring in parts availability)

-86-87 integra
-followed by a JDM brown-top ZC swap, or an 88-89 integra (the ZC would be easier, but the 88-89 integra engine would be easier to find parts for in the states)
-black top 1st gen integra ZC (the key is it has to be an integra black top ZC, not a civic black top--the civic one is for the 88-91 civic and will not work--this engine is harder to find)
-B16A
-B18A/B
-B18C

i believe it's the A20, A series aren't very powerful and don't bolt up to D series trannies so i'm guessing it won't work.

actually the motor depends on if its fuel injected or carb. the engine codes for most carbs are A20A3, and for the fuel injected it's A20A1. Thats what i have and its a hella good motor. It has like 110hp. or so
