I dunno if there's a better place to post this, but can a rusted out car be fixed? Like not a little bit on the trunk or something, but I mean if a car has alot of rust on the floor, strut towers, roof, along the outside edges of the body, can it be fixed? Would it be a huige amount of money? Not for paint, just fix the metal and primer it so it wont rust, I wouldn't drive it in the winter after I had it fixed.

yea what 91300zxtt said.
if its completely rusted you prolly gotta replace the part, or go fabrication style lol. working with steel can be pretty expensive.

I don't mean only one part, I mean if the whole car has alot of rust on it, and like slidewayz said, also rusted frame, can it be fixed? Cause I see alot of 240s for sale cheap, but they have a shit load of rust.

possible to fix, not an easy task, id suggest goin to a fabrication shop, gettin it done right to avoid future what not's etc.. beware of chop shops lol just my :2cents:

my friend took his 240 to a fabrication shop to get his gastank rebuilded (had a small hole) , 2 days later after he got his car back he notice that his doors made a weird squeeking/grinding sound, also his hindges are different sizes and the nuts were different sizes

hmm if theres like rust like all over, you would have to be spending alot to get rid of it (best bet is to get it professionally done). i know what you mean man took me a good 8-9 months to find the 240 i got now, it has just very minor rust. i have a leak on my hatch that makes water seep through the taillights and drip in the spare tire well which after time put some rust there, it was minor but i took care of it by using a steel brush, and a vaccume to suck up the rust (works real well) took about 2 hours, then fishished off by covering the well with primer (3 coats) used a pant brush for that. 240s with little or no rust (impossible lol) is getting harder and harder to come by. if not then i guess your search continues lol
sorry for the long post
Peace!
