View Full Version : Japan... Japan... GSR2NR94 06-27-2005, 08:55 AM johnnyboy5 06-27-2005, 11:25 AM well from what i hear, its a lot cheaper because your buying JDM parts in JAPAN, its just the shipping that sux. I think you could get the whole s13 front for like $300 or something like that. Anyway thats what i heard. Anyone else.....? sf_carfreak 06-27-2005, 12:10 PM $300 seems rather cheap for a front clip. Taking a look at yahoo auctions, seems like there's stuff from a 500 for just the engine. http://page12.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/p22154074 http://page5.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/e47977040 http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m15442048 http://page7.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/g32934808 And isn't shipping really cheap because it's APO or something? My friend used to be in Japan and I remember he was basically only paying as if he was shipping w/in the US....not really sure how it works though. SHIFT_KA24DE 06-27-2005, 12:33 PM the sr20's been around way too long to be expensive in japan. The price you pay for a sr here... you can get yourself a rb25 clip easily... bob stone 06-27-2005, 12:35 PM apo shipping works like this, my address is a po box in the states ( not really a po box cause companys that say they dont ship to po boxes will ship to this one ) and once an item gets to that box the military takes over the shipping of it, I belive it is the same going back for small items, if ya shipping a crate tho it might be a bit more :P AWDSR20 06-27-2005, 02:37 PM Dr cheep..... but its allot of hassle to ship them.. unless u have some one 2 do the paper work 4 u... R.W.240 06-27-2005, 03:55 PM lot of hassel to save 1000$ = worth it. I demand your cousin buys me an Exhaust and throws it on the boat. Hit_N_Run-player 06-27-2005, 04:56 PM could you get stuff back when coming on a plane and put it in the checked baggage? zdude 06-27-2005, 06:20 PM haha uhhh sir, you know there is large metal object in your bag? looks like an engine to me dont it joe? just playin. im sure if its small enough, youcould ship in in checked luggage. just dont let it look like a bomb or anything GSR2NR94 06-27-2005, 06:25 PM To tell you the truth, I don't care how much shipping would cost (within reason), it would still be way cheaper then paying 2500 for a S14 SR20. I could go there, pay maybe $800 to $1000 for the whole swap (if that), then ship it for like $600, man, that would be awsome. johnnyboy5 06-27-2005, 08:10 PM well from what i hear, its a lot cheaper because your buying JDM parts in JAPAN, its just the shipping that sux. I think you could get the whole s13 front for like $300 or something like that. Anyway thats what i heard. Anyone else.....? sorry for the confusion, i meant the silvia front end, not the whole clip. sidewayzS13 06-27-2005, 09:19 PM goto a jap web site look at the price of the engine and convert it to dollars Hit_N_Run-player 06-28-2005, 02:28 AM haha uhhh sir, you know there is large metal object in your bag? looks like an engine to me dont it joe? just playin. im sure if its small enough, youcould ship in in checked luggage. just dont let it look like a bomb or anything Id put all the small items in one case, turbo piping manifold and intercooler in another, and a few more cases with the rest of the parts, and then get a huge box for the block and ship it back....lol, it would be funny to see what they said...."is that a bomb0¿!!!!"
