I have a '99 Honda Civic LX. It's a 4-cyl automatic transmission. Everyone in america is asking me how I can have an 4-cyl car w/o manual trans. So my question is...is it possible to go from automatic to manual...what the basic cost would be...and/or if its just better off selling it and buying a car with manual transmission?

...maybe i'd just be better off getting some intakes and/or exhaust...

any advice would be appreciated! thanks!

Ive never done it but it can be done. Some parts you would need off the top of my head are the trans., shift linkage, ecu, shifter, interior pieces maybe, you have to cut a hold in the car i thnk to for the shifter. I would vote that if you HAVE to have a manual then get a new car. If not keep it and do what you want with it. You can still make auto's fast.
