Can anyone give me a setp by step on priming my fiberglass bumper and then priming my metal fenders (what grit sand paper etc.). I have a very good idea on how to do it but I just wanna make sure. I do not own a spray gun so I am gonna use primer in a can. I am only looking to get my parts the same color for now so it doesnt look really strange going to the paint shop plus I wanna take the time to do the prep work. Thanks

If you want the final product to look good and last, I would not bother priming anything metal with any "out of a can" product. I also wouldn't bother using any filler agent unless you are ready to get it to the paint shop before it sees any weather.

Even if you owned a paint gun, it would be hard to advise you without more information on what the project is and what defects you are correcting. There is a LOT of variation in the correct approach depending on what you are dealing with.

I don't know if the same advice would apply to fiberglass -- I've never worked on it myself.
