Pretty excited about my Nelson Tune tomorrow. Going to get the dual 87/89 tune. Going to be moving back up Washington State from Dallas next week. Will update on gas mileage pulling 3000 lbs behind me.

Gas mileage, what gas mileage???? You will enjoy the HP and driveability so much the first two weks you will not be able to keep the right foot out of the pedal. You will go to the neighbors and show them you can peal out when you put any octane gas in, you will show your wife that the truck really can got over 125 mph. Ok, maybe not the last one to the wife but you will show someone....

Enjoy the tune, I do. Just pulled a 16.34 tonight with just a tune, pipes and a heavy foot. Not bad for a 5200# truck...

can you explain what a nelson tune is?

Really, just a 16.3? with a 5.3? I was considering a tune to wake my pathetic 4.8 up. It will go 17.2 bone stock with 4.10's and a locker. My '98 5.7 would do 16.6 bone stock, and 16.0 with just a hypertech programmer, w/ 3.73's and an open rear! I really thought these new engines would be quicker.
