Hey peps, i have been told that on a Honda's D16Z6 engine, SOHC VTEC, i can use Suzuki's Vitara pistons in the oem block to have lower compression and to allow me to raise my boost! Is this true??? I can't find anything else regarding this!

If so, what pistons should i be looking to get, year, make, model of engine!

How much boost can i run???

I know nothing about d16's but I have seen some threads about this in the forced induction forum over at www.honda-tech.com I would search over there or at www.turbod16.com

Yes it is true. One of the guys on turbo D16 just made tons of power on Vitaras.

Well, even if the C/R is lower you wont be able to run TONS of boost or else the rods will crack, or the pistons rings will fry. I know nothing about Vitaras pistons, but without other bottom end mods you'll have a hole in your block nice and quick.

while you have it apart through in some aftermarket rods and then rebuild with arp hardware. after that the thing that would break next would be the sleeves

how much you can run depends on your tuning but you should be able to run a nice safe 250whp~270whp+ without even worrying about the bottom end(assuming you have some nice rods and a GOOD tune)
hmt, turboD and d-series.org is where you'll find what your looking for
