I started this car last weekend. I don't have a lot of progress to show, but the body has been prepped, primed, and painted.

I used Cobra Colors - Lambo Thirty paint on this car. It's a very metallic purple. This has not been cleared or polished yet.

I may use the clear engine cover on this car. It will depend on how the curbside engine bay looks after some detailing.

Those may not be the wheels I use. I just mocked up the car with them to see what some modern 19's would look like under this car.

That vintage color should look pretty good on it. My vote would be to make the engine insert as detailed as possible and use the clear hood. The rims look awesome-but I'm prejudiced since they're the ones on mine :icon16: .

PS I'm envious of you guys in the US that can get access to Cobra Colours :banghead: I'd love to try these but I guess there's no way for them to be shipped to EU

Wow, that's alot darker than I expected Lambo Thirty would come out. Maybe because of indoor lighting. Just looking at CC's offerings (http://cobracolors.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=CC&Category_Code=LAM) makes me want to build a Lambo, though! (May have to do a Diablo in Viola Ophelia....:sunglasse )

I'm a big fan of that Diablo color. It should look right at home on the Gallardo too. I like the way it's shaping up!

very nice color. me and my bro were driving in his camaro last night and we pulled up next to an orange one and i almost peed myself! we recorded the video on his cell, then we both took off and he laughed at us in 2nd gear, but man did that car sound good. i wanna build one but cant find one in america. keep up the good work

I cleared this car last night. The color and metallics will look awesome after polishing. The clear coat came out a bit orange peely, but will easily polish out.

I ordered 3 new sets of 19" wheels, and will most likely go with some Kranze LXZ's on this build.

I saw a Gallardo in, of all places, Lafayette Louisiana just this past Tuesday. Made me want to build a model of it. Then I see it here on AF, made by you, and I think, "Best to leave that up to the pros."

I've finished up painting most of the parts.

The engine bay is also painted. I used a textured black paint for the airbox's, and used BMF for some hose clamps.

They are Aoshima 19" Kranze LXZ's.

I had to do a lot of modifications to get them to fit. The front A-arms needed work to shorten them, and I had to use aftermarket resin disk brakes on the rear. The combination of super wide kit brakes and deep dish wheels made the rear wheels stick out 2-3mm on each side.

Nice progress on the Lambo, CADGuy. As I review all the late Lambos on the board, Fujimi shouldn´t fancy putting wheels into the kits, as nobody is using them. Great wheel choice. That´s just style.
I also like the color choice. There´s nothing better than a Lambo to try cool and different paint jobs!
