check engine light...............

i have 95 240sx
when i was trying an air filter i didn't fully connected the wires
so i got a check engine light on yeah yeah i was stupid.. :D

i don't know how to get rid of the light. i tried disconnecting battery for a while but it didn't work....

does anyone know how to reset it or turn it off?????:confused: :mad: :bloated:

i kno as with most cars teh code has to be read by a computer, maybe u can take it to a mechanic and have him diagnose it or something.

i made that same mistake while i took off my filter to change my water pump but non of my lights went off. sooo i dunno. but dealers do have a computer that takes the lights off. but that comes with a ridicious fee.

okay the best thing 2 do is 2 get into the computer urself... so on da passenger's side to the right is a panel u can take off and there's ur cpu... it's just a matter of disconnecting ur battery then removin the ecu. reconnect the battery with the ignition on but not the car then u crank the little screw thing 2 da right or something ummm email me if u need some help on this [email protected]
