The JDM has invested so much time / money / development into the SR series motors and you really think a KA24 is capable of getting anywhere close to this? Are you guys for real?
Jun, Tomei and Apex'i all have SR engines capable of producing over 1000hp at the wheels on pump fuel, at 11,000rpm. While not cheap, I can assure you the KA24 will never get anywhere near this even with the budget required for one of these SR engines!
Stuffing 45psi into a KA knowing full well the motor is not designed to rev(long stroke/wide bore) engine design will not produce the numbers. So accept the facts, an SR20DET with a lash killer kit running 15psi will own any KA24DET running the same amount of boost. Simple engineering, metallurgy and physics will prevail, not your simple minded devotion to your boat anchors.
Sure the KA has some advantages but nothing that can easily be remedied with some mods to the SR. Seriously, take a SR20DET powered car for a test drive one day and compare it to a KA24DE-T. It may prompt you to go fishing ;)

I still plan on going with the SR, but I have nothing against the KA. I kinda admire people with KA-T's. Anyways, I think you just offended the KA-T owners here, so don't be suprised if you get flamed in about 5 minutes when they see this.

MMCLEO this thread is a NO NO. This has all been discussed before and it will be a closed thread. Don't try to start any fights in the future.

How bout we let people own what they want to own instead of putting it down? That sound good? Closed.
